A/Prof. Pan Deng from the College accepted an interview from the Russia Today TV at the coming of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. The interview was broadcast roll playing on the hourly news on its Spanish channel on 16 October local time and on 17 October, 2023, the day of the Summit.

In the interview, Pan Deng elaborated on 'global southern cooperation for development', 'developing countries upholding the right to development in the international order' and 'Belt and Road promoting the building of a just and equitable new international economic order'.

On the day of the meeting between the two heads of China and Russia, the contents of the interview were broadcast roll playing again on the hourly news of the Spanish channel. In the interview, Pan took questions from the reporter on "the impact of bilateral cooperation on the world pattern", "the signal of China-Russia friendship to the world" and "the abutment between the Belt and Road and the Greater Eurasian partnership".

The interview was also disseminated through the RT's website and social media accounts.
